Over 800,000 Nissan SUVs Recalled Worldwide Due to Brake Switch Defect
Nissan has recalled more than 800,000 of its SUVs globally owing to a serious flaw that has been connected to an engine problem. The Nissan Pathfinder, Armada, and Infiniti QX56 are just a few of the 2012–2014 models that are included in the recall.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Agency (NHTSA) has said that a brake switch flaw might result in the brake lights being on even after the brake pedal has been lifted. Overheating and possibly a fire might occur from this.
There have been more than 800,000 automobiles affected by the recall, which has been issued internationally. Around 225,000 of these are found alone in the United States.
According to Nissan, it will provide free brake switch replacements and will contact impacted owners and dealerships. In case of fire, the carmaker has also encouraged owners of concerned vehicles to park their cars outdoors and away from buildings.
